Kelly's Last Visit

Kelly just e-mailed me the photos she took the last time she visited. It brought back some great memories. Jeff and I have lived in Sacramento for a year and a half and I am still learning so much about Northern California. I wasn't sure of a good touristy spot to take Kelly so I asked around. One of my co-workers suggested that we go to Sutter's Creek. It sounded nice enough, so we hopped in the car and drove two hours in the rain. And here it is...
Sutter's Creek. Just one street. A few small antique stores (Kelly bought a $65 old camera. We later looked the same one up on eBay and it was only $10.) and a couple of restaurants (all of which were closed) We found a small cafe for lunch and Kelly ordered a bowl of soup, I swear it came from a can and the just added a few pieces of potatoes.
After lunch we took pictures of each other in front of Sutter's Creek.

Exciting.

Then we hopped in the car and drove two hours home, in the rain. Even though Sutter's Creek was not all we were hoping it would be we still laughed and enjoyed spending time together. I guess it doesn't matter where we go together, Kelly and I always find a way to have fun. Kelly says she laughs every time she looks at her overpriced camera. I guess that alone is worth the extra $55.
